The Sun Came Out & Prague Is Showing Off

My last day in Prague, the sun decided to come out, not just for the first time here, but the first time in many weeks anywhere in Eastern Europe.

I knew I had a good view out the window of my boat hotel, but in the sunrise, it's like a painting

The only way to see Prague on a day like this is to look up

There are sculptures everywhere, way up high

This is a modern-looking woman

Why doesn't every country have a bronze chariot & horses galloping off a tall building?

Why doesn't public art have this kind of richness & grandeur anymore?

The middle building has something interesting looking way, way up at the top

                                  Oh...it's a svelte & confident fellow

What is hanging off this apartment building?

A man in a suit with a briefcase, hanging onto an umbrella

This is the Dancing Building. It's in honor of Fred Astaire (the straight building on the right) & Ginger Rogers (the curved one on the left).

These statues often capture such motion & emotion

Goodbye river, goodbye Charles Bridge, goodbye grand, over-the-top Prague. I'll miss you.
